Since 2009, CDD-Ghana’s Democracy and Governance Internship Program has been offering
opportunities to Ghanaian university students to intern with the Center. The internship program
runs from June to August each year and seeks to nurture budding talents in democratic and
governance processes. Over 25 promising young professionals have benefitted from this
programme so far.
Interns are usually placed with the Center’s Research, Programs and Advocacy unit where they
are mentored and guided in areas such as research, advocacy, good governance, democracy,
elections, social accountability, among others. The programme is open for applications in July.
CDD-Ghana’s All Year-Round Internship Program provides learning and capacity-building
opportunities to undergraduates, post-graduates and young professionals. The program exposes
applicants to the operations of the Center and gives them first-hand work experience in
democracy and governance practice.
CDD-Ghana is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion. The Center
provides an enabling environment for both researchers and professionals to work towards
achieving our mission of promoting democracy, good governance and inclusive development in
Ghana and Africa through evidence-based research. Employment opportunities, when available,
can be found on our website: www.cddgh.org or in the national newspapers.
